Level 29: Ultramarine Core, a delicious mahogany and indigo armour coating that I have called dibs on, sorry.Level 20: The Kerberos helmet, which looks like the sort of thing a soldier would wear in the trenches of World War 2.Level 17: Carbon Tundra, the first armour coating for Eaglestrike - this is the moment everyone rocking the armour won’t also rock the same exact colour scheme.Levels 13 and 14: The beefy Crabshell shoulder pads for Eaglestrike.Level 5: The base Eaglestrike armour core.Level 3: Eagle’s outlook, a patently ridiculous stance (that I am absolutely equipping the second I earn it). Here are some of the standouts that’ll become available as “Fracture: Entrenched” cycles in and out of availability: Cosmetics that are legit worth the grind are not available until later levels. You can get a pistol skin pretty early on, and you get Eaglestrike itself relatively quickly too. The catch is that there are basically no good rewards in the first week. Others, like “win one Land Grab PvP match,” are subject to the skill level of your teammates. (Completed Fracture challenges also earn you XP toward your standard battle pass.) Some of the challenges, like “complete one Land Grab PvP match,” are a breeze. But for events, XP doesn’t matter: Once you complete a challenge, you unlock a new level and earn its reward - no need to keep track of XP or do armchair addition or any of that. Progress is earned by completing challenges affiliated with the currently active “Entrenched” playlist, which puts you into matches of Land Grab.įor the standard battle pass, completing challenges earns you XP, and earning 1,000 XP grants you a level-up. Like the pass for “Tenrai,” the one for “Entrenched” is free, and you can complete it alongside your standard seasonal one. Earning rewards in “Entrenched” works much the same way. In season one, the “ Fracture: Tenrai” event allowed players to unlock the samurai-inspired Yoroi kit by way of a 30-level bonus battle pass. “Fracture” events are essentially an excuse to add non-conventional Halo cosmetics to Infinite, justified in the lore through a bunch of stuff to do with interdimensional rifts and multiversal travel and blah blah blah. The second, “ Fracture: Entrenched,” is all about the new don’t-call-it-king-of-the-hill Land Grab mode. The season’s first event, “Interference,” focused on the new don’t-call-it-a-battle-royale Last Spartan Standing mode. Halo Infinite’s second season has only been live for a matter of weeks, and developer 343 Industries has already rolled out two “events” - or time-limited playlists in which you can play to unlock specific rewards - for the free-to-play shooter. Bad news: Your personalised version won’t look cool for months. Pretty neat, right? Good news: The kit itself is pretty easy to get. It’s a promotional shot for a cosmetic set of Halo Infinite armour called Eaglestrike. Nope, that key art above isn’t a promo image for Wolfenstein.

Wildlife The inland taipan or the eastern brown snake is the most dangerous snake in Australia. According to Merriam-Webster, LD50 defines "the amount of a toxic agent (such as a poison, virus, or radiation) that is sufficient to kill 50 percent of a population of animals usually within a certain time." This snake has the deadliest venom based on median lethal dose, or LD50, tests on mice. The western desert taipan is also called the Central Ranges taipan. Scientists consider its venom the most toxic of any terrestrial snake in the world. The fierce snake is also called the inland taipan or western taipan. "That would probably be enough to kill over 100 people or 250,000 mice." The coastal taipan is the largest elapid in Australia. Maximum yield recorded (for one bite) is 110mg," it stated. Fierce snakes are well equipped for the long periods of little or no food. As the harsh outback takes its toll and the food disappears, the rodents die off. While an Inland Taipan Oxyuranus microlepidotus is the most toxic snake in the world to mice, has a moderate venom yield, its generally fairly even. As the seasons change and food is abundant the rodents build to plague proportions, allowing the snakes to feast. They are well adapted to the ‘boom or bust’ lifecycle of the brown plains rat, which also lives in the area. They thrive amongst the harsh conditions of their arid, outback environment! With a percussion and guitar-heavy opening that immediately sets the bittersweet tone for the rest of the track, I could feel myself falling into the throes of this beautiful song, thanks to a full and relatively loud sound that didn’t lose track of any of its key instruments. I then listened to “The New Year” by Death Cab for Cutie and was more impressed overall with how the Swift Go 14 handled this track. It would also be nice if the speakers could get a little louder - some of my favorite sections of this track disappeared into the background. But as the percussion of the low drums introduced itself into the mix, it practically disappeared beneath the rest of the audio. I started listening to “The Great Elsewhere” by Owen Pallett and enjoyed how the Swift Go 14 presented the opening electric piano keys, atmospheric glitch noises, and subtle vacant rings that make the track feel so mysterious. I watched The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and while the dialogue and soundtrack came across fine with a decent level of bass and loudness, I couldn’t help but think how much I’d rather plug in a headphone or external speaker to enhance the experience. The depth of each key has a nice tactile bounce from one letter to the next. Jumping between keystrokes feels smooth and tactile, making it easy to pump out each word of this review without feeling weighed down by mushy keys. The Swift Go 14’s lovely island style 60% keyboard features black matte keys with an LED backlight. However, the MacBook Pro M2 (475 nits) comes solidly in first place. This is superior to the category average (349 nits), Slim Pro 7 (325 nits) and Gram 16 (332 nits). The Swift Go 14’s brightness is similarly excellent, managing an average of 395 nits of brightness. Not only is this higher than the Slim Pro 7 (83.7%), MacBook Pro M2 (77.5%) and Gram 16 (118%), but it is the highest DCI-P3 score I’ve ever seen. It’s no surprise that the Swift Go 14 managed a score of 175.7% on the DCI-P3 color gamut, demolishing the category average of 107.5%. In practicality, both laptops do a similarly excellent job, with the Acer Swift Go 14 popping just a bit more.Īcer Swift Go 14 vs Competition: Display Laptop During a scene that showcases a fleet of ships sailing off into a dim horizon with an indescribable orange light peering through a bed of dark gray clouds, each display presented the moment with a gorgeous array of inky blacks alongside a beautifully vivid glow in the sky.Īnother scene that shows a forlorn, battle-worn Galadriel placing a helmet upon a pile of fallen soldier’s skulls yielded the same results. While the difference was not intense, I could see that the Swift Go 14 was both brighter and more vivid than the Yoga 9i. I watched The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and compared the two displays side-by-side. After all, if our metrics claim you’re the best, my eyes need to see it too. But I wanted to make sure that this was legit. On paper, the Swift Go 14’s score brings it more than 30% higher, which makes it the highest DCI-P3 I’ve seen on a laptop. So I took the Lenovo Yoga 9i, a personal favorite of mine with a phenomenal DCI-P3 score of 142.1%, and compared the two side-by-side. Acer Swift Go 14 (Right) (Image credit: Future) On the left you’ll find two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and one USB 3.2 Type-A port. The Swift Go 14 has a solid number of ports that should be sufficient for most users. The LG Gram 16 (2.5 pounds, 14 x 9.5 x 0.66 inches) is a bit of an enigma, as it’s the lightest of the bunch, yet the largest. This makes it lighter and smaller than the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 (3.5 pounds, 12.8 x 8.9 x 0.6 inches), but larger yet lighter than the Apple MacBook Pro M2 (3 pounds, 12 x 8.4 x 0.6 inches). The Swift Go 14 weighs 2.9 pounds and measures 12.3 x 8.6 x 0.6 inches. This also means that the top of the deck curves downwards and nestles some of the lower bezel beneath its view, making the screen itself look even larger than it would normally. One of my favorite aspects of the Swift Go 14 is that the bottom of the lid extends a bit further than the base, meaning the laptop props itself up as you open it. I’m not personally a big fan of the four stickers stuffed near the touchpad, but you can always remove them. Lifting the lid reveals a beautiful 16:10 screen with a 90% screen-to-body bezel ratio that makes the display pop out front and center, alongside a large keyboard that barely wastes a modicum of the deck’s space. For that I'll stick with my immersion blender. That might be one drawback-this mixer is so powerful that I can easily see it slinging whipped cream all over the kitchen. It also comes with a wire whisk for whipping cream, although I haven't tried that yet. The Cuisinart comes with a set of wire beaters that are substantial enough to handle any cookie dough, and they don't have the center post going all the way through the beaters so your dough doesn't end up getting all hung up in your beaters. Great for right or left-handed bakers, and helpful when you've got a plug on one side or the other in the kitchen. This mixer is small and light and easy to handle, and it's got this really neat swivel cord so you can push the cord out of the way and it doesn't drag in your cake batter. I don't think there's much that a sugar cookie won't cure. The new Cuisinart is extremely powerful-as a matter of fact I haven't had the nerve to rev it up over a 3! I do all my own baking, and take cookies to the office as a way to lighten up the mood of the office these days. I had been using my old reliable Black & Decker hand mixer (very very old) that I had bought myself 25 years ago. I received a new Cuisinart PowerSelect 5 speed Electronic hand mixer as a Christmas gift. The best solution I've found is to use a very large bowl (8 qts) which is deep enough and wide enough to contain any wayward ingredients. It starts off too fast, which is somewhat of a problem when trying to beat something light or powdery (cake/pudding mixes, creaming sugar into butter, etc). The only issue I really have with this mixer is that the low speed isn't really very low or slow. I do like that this mixer is strong enough to handle even the stickiest of doughs (which my old Hamilton Beach mixer never could handle) without getting bogged down. The beater attachments are also fairly long, so the batter would have to work itself up ridiculously high for it to come anywhere near the motor anyway. not a good thing, because it's not exactly easy to clean out! The Cuisinart HM-50 5 speed mixer solves this problem by getting rid of that center post there's nowhere for the dough/batter to get caught up. The problem with most mixers I've used is that the center posts on the beaters sometimes get clogged up with dough/batter, and if you're not careful, it works its way up into the vents for the motor. Even though I have a stand mixer, there are just some times that you need a good hand mixer. I quit cTiVo and went to a recent downloaded file with bold text and check. Regardless, you should be able to set Plex Compatible in the General Preferences to have it use a more Plex-friendly directory structure and filename syntax. Previously, do you remember: did you use the FilenameTemplate option in Advanced Preferences to use the Plex support there? Or did you just use cTiVo's Create Sub-folders for Series option?Īnd now, which option is selected in General Preferences under "Save Shows"? If it says "Custom", then go to Advanced Preferences and see what Filename Template is there. That mechanism changed significantly in 3.1.0, specifically to make Plex support better, so there may be an issue. If you set TiVoManager debug level to Verbose (in Advanced Preferences) and then restart cTiVo, the log should list the shows found on disk (search for the text 'showsOnDisk` in the log file.)įinally, on the folders. If not, the filesystem is somehow losing the metadata. So, another test: note one of the shows recently marked as downloaded, then quit cTiVo, restart it and see if it is still marked as downloaded. Nothing came up at all? We use that tag in the filesystem's metadata across cTiVo runs to find shows we've downloaded before. I've also very surprised there was no result on a search for cTiVoDownload (unless the Drobo doesn't support metadata). So, to be very specific, shows downloaded prior to 3.1.0 appear boldface/OnDisk in the NowPlaying table, but when you select and then option-click one of those shows, the contextual menu has both Show in Finder and Play Video greyed out? That's very strange I use the exact same routine for the onDisk column and enabling those menu items. On the other hand, the contextual menu does seem to work properly (at least on my machine) on both the Download and the NowPlaying tables. This looks like it has always been true, so I'll fix in next release. In experimenting, I've confirmed one bug, which is that the File menu's PlayVideo/ShowInFinder commands interact only with the Download table, not looking at the NowPlaying table at all, even if the NowPlaying table is currently selected. Thanks for reporting and working with me on this! I know a lot of the ppl in the Plex Community use cTiVo. Myself I have moved away from iTunes because of the limited playback options and use Plex for my streaming server. The newer shows that downloaded last night seem were placed in the correct down folder and were stripped of commercials and play fine they did not go into the show folders as cTiVo did with the last release they were all grouped in the main download folder not in the TV show folders. Note: I do use an external Drobo drive as my download folder with the name “TV Shows DVR”. Play video is grayed out on contextual menu. Yes the recorded shows have check marks and in bold face text. Going to the menu bar under File and selecting Show in Finder it goes to the last download, not the show selected. Having the show selected and right click for the contextual menu “Show in Finder” is grayed out. I did notice only the files downloaded with the new release were acceptable via “Show in Finder” Any files downloaded with the old version did not have “Show in Finder” available. The day before its 150th anniversary, a poll published on April 9 revealed that it was the favorite monument of the British. There is a replica of the Big Ben tower, but on a smaller scale, located in Crater at Arwa Street behind the National Bank of Yemen (infamously known in the mid-1960s as the Headquartered Fortress of Intelligence for the British Army during the Aden Emergency) and which is overlooked from the hill by the Aden Parliament Assembly building (a former Methodist Chapel converted to its current status in 1962). Big Ben, the 13.7-ton bell installed in the clock of Big Ben Clock Tower, or, the Palace of Westminster, was cast on Apat the Whitechapel foundry in east London. From inside it has an iron staircase with the tower directly looking towards the sea with a view of the Tawahi area. The diameter is about one meter from four directions and the width is 1.5 m (5 ft) and a height is 22 m (72 ft). On the day the bell first rung, Parliament had a session to debate what to call the bell. Big Ben was cast on April 10, 1858, and was first rung on May 31, 1859. But during our April 2012 visit to England, Channel 13 did som. Its been called the Elizabeth Tower since 2012 previously just the Clock Tower. The clock tower that houses Big Ben, named the Elizabeth Tower in 2012, is approximately 96 meters high, and the massive bell inside the clock tower weighs more than 13 tons. Most tourists walk away from London with at least one exterior shot of the famous clock tower. (Photo by Chris J Ratcliffe/Getty Images) A spokesperson for the U.K. The clock tower was not (technically) Big Ben, which is the actual bell. The shape is rectangular and the roof is like an equilateral triangle covered with coated red brick. LONDON, ENGLAND - DECEMBER 20: Workers remove sections of scaffolding surrounding Elizabeth Tower, commonly known as Big Ben, as renovation works continue on Decemin London, England. It was installed in Elizabeth Tower in April 1859. The project was completed in 1890 by British architects involved in the design and construction, with the assistance of local workers, made from a black stones and cement mix. When Dent died, his stepson Frederick completed the clock in 1854. The clock tower was built more than 130 years ago and was designed in accordance to Big Ben in London, being known as "Big Ben of the Arabs", or "Big Ben of the East". Big Ben is the nickname for the iconic tower which is located in the north end of London’s House of Parliament at the Palace of Westminster which sits on the banks of the River Thames. The clock tower has also served to symbolize the continued functioning of the British government, particularly in wartime. /rebates/2fen-us2fproduct2fbig-ben-21013&. Whilst this removes nearly all of it, there will always be trace amounts left on the bean - but you’re looking at maybe 1-2 mg per cup, at the most. Does your decaf coffee contain any caffeine?Ĭurrently our only decaf coffee is our Organic Peruvian, and that’s decaffeinated using the Sparkling Water method - which uses pressurised liquid carbon dioxide (hence the ‘sparkling water’) to extract the caffeine from the beans. It has slightly less caffeine than a regular cup of coffee, but more than decaf or instant coffee. As you can see, Nespresso espresso falls right in the middle of the pack. There are two types of coffee beans commonly used, Robusta and Arabica. This caffeine content depends on two factors the amount of coffee used and the type of coffee bean used. Here is the caffeine content for each blend of the Starbucks by Nespresso capsules: Blonde Espresso Roast 64.2 mg Pike Place Roast 71.6 mg House Blend 74.5 mg Single Origin Colombia 66.9 ml Caffee Verona 68.5 mg Espresso Roast 61.9 mg Decaf Espresso Roast 3 mg Sumatra 54. It’s slightly counter-intuitive, as the characteristics associated with lightly-roasted coffee (high acidity, fruity, floral notes) don’t really lend themselves to our traditional view of ‘strong’ coffee. Background:: Little independent information on the caffeine content of the popular Nespresso ® coffee pod range exists. Heres a quick comparison of the caffeine content in different types of coffee: Regular brewed coffee: 95-100 mg. On average, the caffeine content in original Nespresso capsules ranges around 60-90mg. Here’s a quick comparison of the caffeine content in different types of coffee: Regular brewed coffee: 95-100 mg. A regular cup of coffee has more caffeine, while decaf coffee has less. You end up saving 32.35, or 20, with this. When it comes to caffeine content, Nespresso falls somewhere in the middle. Light or Dark Roast: if you had to guess which had more caffeine, you’d probably say the Dark, right? Well, whilst caffeine is relatively stable during the roasting process, it does actually start to ‘burn’ off the longer it’s in the roaster - so lightly roasted coffee, in general, contains more caffeine than it’s dark-roasted brother. As of May 8, the Nespresso VertuoPlus coffee and espresso maker by DeLonghi is now on sale for 126.75 at Amazon, down from its typical price of 159. The mirror has a focal point (F) that is located along the principal axis, midway between the mirror's surface and the center of curvature. The center of that original sphere is known as the center of curvature (C) and the line that passes from the mirror's surface through the sphere's center is known as the principal axis. If the outside of the sphere is silvered such that it can reflect light, then the mirror is said to be convex. In Lesson 3, a convex mirror was described as a portion of a sphere that had been sliced away. The diagram at the right depicts a convex mirror. Finally, we will use the mirror equation to calculate numerical information about image distance and size if given an object distance, object size and focal length. We will also investigate how ray diagrams can be used to estimate image location, size, orientation, and type for objects placed in front of convex mirrors. In Lesson 4, we will follow a similar pattern of inquiry for convex mirrors: investigating how convex mirrors reflect light and produce images. In that lesson, it was shown that concave mirrors can produce both real and virtual images, depending upon the object location. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 88 for a resolution.Lesson 3 focused on the reflection of light by concave mirrors and on the formation of images by this reflected light.
